VulcanForms Inc. seeks a Manager of Internal Communications and Employee Engagement for our Burlington, MA, location.

 

Job Purpose

As the Manager of Internal Communications and Employee Engagement at VulcanForms Inc. you will inform, inspire, and connect our teams throughout the organization. You will be vital in developing an award-winning culture that values collaboration, passion, entrepreneurship, integrity, and continuous improvement. Key Accountabilities 

  • Develop and lead internal communications strategy to represent and shape company culture, communicate strategic priorities, and provide clear messaging for employees.
  • Identify and implement a breadth of methods for communicating with employees through various channels. Craft internal presentations, messages, and other content as needed.
  • Customize content and methods as needed to effectively engage our Corporate and Manufacturing teams.
  • Partner with leaders and project teams to create strategic communications and tactical plans to support special projects and initiatives, including methods related to our strategy, purpose, and values.
  • Continually measure the effectiveness of communication channels to assess whether they meet the needs of both VulcanForms and our teams.
  • Provide counsel to the executive team on communications methods, messaging, and crisis communications. Write companywide emails, letters, and video scripts for the executive team. Support the development of executive presentations.
  • Plan, schedule, shoot, and produce videos to engage and inform employees. Maintain digital communications platforms including our virtual bulletin boards for Manufacturing. Provide content for campus TVs.
  • Build annual calendars for employee engagement and communications activities based on strategic priorities and business cadence.
  • Develop and lead VulcanForms employee engagement and culture strategy, collaborating with Senior Leadership, local site leads, and others to improve the work experience of VulcanForms employees.
  • Plan and implement initiatives supporting the employee engagement and culture strategy.
  • Develop a standard set of visual analytics, SLAs (service level agreements), and KPIs (key performance indicators) that are common to all VulcanForms employee initiatives and services to drive a common view of project health across the entire company.
  • Develop formal change management practices and processes and apply these practices to all VulcanForms organization changes and communications regarding people, projects, and program changes and launches to ensure optimal objectives regarding employee engagement.
  • Handle projects and lead working groups across a variety of applicable initiatives.
  • Other tasks as identified.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of related experience with proven results within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience driving culture and employee engagement in a global organization, with expertise in factors and components that drive both.
  • Experience leading and driving successful internal communications.
  • Experience producing written communications, scripts, talking points, and visually appealing presentations for executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience forming stories and narratives through excellent communication, writing skills, and attention to detail.
  • Experience developing communications strategies and tactical plans to engage diverse audiences.
  • Experience writing and producing content for a variety of digital platforms.
  • A high level of experience and proficiency working with internal communications software and platforms (e.g., Poppulo, Vimeo, SharePoint, Canva, Microsoft Teams).
  • The ability to work at strategic, operational, and tactical levels.
  • Excited about taking on new challenges in the metal additive manufacturing industry and working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on, with a practical mindset, and capable of setting and reaching ambitious goals.
